Extremely slow service in the dining room, despite there being few people there. 13 minutes to get 2 simple burgers and one arrived cold. Two dirt piles in the dining area....very dirty. Manager gave us two pies and offered free drinks because he could see our irritation, but he has much bigger issues. I love A&W, but this one was aweful.

When it was time to go, my nephew gave a free rootbeer coupon to the teller who immediately gave it to a youngish (maybe 30-35yr old) asian manager (or senior employee). He was told the free rootbeer coupon would not be accepted because there was no stamp and signature on it. I stepped into the conversation and mentioned that it said "valid at all A&W locations in Canada and that there was not even a box or line for a stamp or signature to be needed. The manager, instead of accepting it, accused us of somehow suspiciously receiving the coupon with no stamp and asked us to leave. I was so embarassed and lots of customers saw how he talked to me. I will never dine at an A&W ever again. We spent over $30.00 and could not even cash in a free rootbeer coupon.

Clean and spacious restaurant, with courteous and efficient staff. Food was quick and hot.
